About — The Proof Economy

Why We Exist

We Didn't Set Out to Fix Resumes. We Set Out to End Them.

Every year, lakhs of students graduate with real skills nobody can see. Every year, recruiters make hiring decisions on gut feel, college name, and hope. Every year, institutions promise placements they can't actually verify.

Three sides. One broken signal.

Read why
The thesis

A resume was never built to prove ability.

TalentProof exists because a resume was never built to prove ability. It was built to summarize a person in one page and hope someone believed it. We didn't think that was good enough anymore.

So we built something that can't lie.

The Problem We Saw

Three sides. Same broken filter.

Students

A degree proves you attended. It doesn't prove what you built. Talented students with unfamiliar college names were losing to weaker candidates from familiar ones — before a single interview happened.

Institutions

Placement teams were sending hundreds of strong profiles into ATS black holes. The filter fired on the college tier before a human ever read the work. Real outcomes stayed invisible.

Companies

Recruiters were screening out the vast majority of candidates before evaluation even began — an illustrative volume-screening pattern often discussed around ~94% (not a TalentProof-measured statistic) — then wondering, three bad hires later, why the “best” resume didn't make the best hire.

Nobody was lying. The system just had no way to tell the truth.

What We Believe

The thinking behind everything we build.

  1. Ability cannot be faked.

A GitHub repository either has the stars or it doesn't. A project either serves real users or it doesn't. An internship either happened or it didn't. Proof doesn't lie. Resumes do it every day.

  2. Pedigree is a shortcut, not a judgment.

College-name filtering isn't rigor. It's a proxy people reach for when they don't have time to be wrong. We built a system that doesn't need the shortcut.

  3. The best person should always win.

Not sometimes. Not when their college happens to be recognized. Always. That's not idealism — it's just what happens when the right signal replaces the wrong one.

What We Built

India's proof-based hiring platform.

The first to replace resume guesswork with Proof Score — a verified ability signal built from three independent, unfakeable inputs:

01

GitHub signal

Verified coding activity, not a listed skill.

02

Project output

Measured real-world outcomes, not a bullet point.

03

Internship proof

Supervisor-confirmed history, not a self-reported line.

One score. Three worlds changed.

  • Students stop being invisible to recruiters who never got past their college name.
  • Institutions get a real-time, verifiable picture of placement outcomes — and a way to get overlooked students seen.
  • Companies get proof-ranked shortlists instead of hundreds of resumes and a guess.
Where We're Building This From

Built in India. For how hiring actually works here.

TalentProof is built in India, for the way hiring actually works in India — where the college tier decides outcomes long before ability gets a chance to.

We're building alongside the institutions, recruiters, and students who are already part of the Proof Economy.

The Team

Small team. Clear filter.

TalentProof is built by a small team that got tired of watching good people lose to a filter. More names to come as the team grows.

Where This Is Headed

The Proof Economy doesn't wait for anyone to be ready.

Every semester a student waits, their proof doesn't compound. Every batch an institution delays, recruiters look elsewhere. Every hire a company guesses on costs months they won't get back.

We're building toward a hiring system where verified proof of ability is the only signal that matters in India — not pedigree, not network, not the name at the top of a resume.

That system is already live. The proof economy is already running.
