This Cookie Policy explains how Basmangimat Technologies Private Limited uses cookies and similar technologies on the TalentProof website and web application. Read it with our Privacy Policy and Website Terms of Use.
What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Basmangimat Technologies Private Limited (“BTPL”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on:
- the TalentProof website at https://talentproof.in; and
- the TalentProof web application at https://app.talentproof.in.
It should be read with our Privacy Policy and our Website Terms of Use.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site recognise your device on your next visit or as you move between pages.
We also use similar technologies that work in comparable ways:

In this Policy, “cookies” means all of the above.
Cookie duration. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays on your device until it expires or you delete it.
The Categories We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the Website and web application to work. Without them, you cannot sign in or use core features. We do not ask for consent for these, because the service cannot be delivered without them.

3.2 Analytics and performance cookies
These help us understand how the Website and web application are used — which pages are visited, which features are used, where users encounter errors — so we can improve them.

We ask for your consent before setting these. Declining them does not affect your ability to use the Platform.
3.3 What we do not use
We do not use:
- advertising or marketing cookies;
- cross-site tracking cookies;
- cookies that build a profile of you for targeted advertising;
- social media tracking pixels;
- cookies that share your browsing behaviour with advertising networks or data brokers.
We do not sell data collected through cookies.
3.4 First-party identity cookies
We set two first-party cookies on the TalentProof website to recognise audience context and, where provided, an opaque campaign identifier, and to remember that recognition as you move between pages on talentproof.in.
These cookies are set by our website (first-party). They are not set by advertising networks. They are not used to share your browsing with advertising networks or data brokers.

Duration. Up to one year from when the cookie is written (the website sets Max-Age to one year). Your browser may delete them earlier.
These cookies do not store your name, email address, or telephone number. tp_pid holds only a limited token (letters, numbers, and the characters . _ -). tp_audience holds only one of: student, institution, recruiter.
They may be set when a page first loads, including before you accept or decline optional analytics cookies in the banner. Your banner choice for analytics and performance cookies (clause 3.2) does not create or delete these identity cookies.
Optional analytics cookies used by Google (and similar analytics technologies described in clause 3.2) remain subject to your banner choice. We do not send those analytics cookies until you accept them.
Your Choices
4.1 Our consent banner
When you first visit, we show a cookie banner. It lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies with equal ease — declining takes the same number of clicks as accepting, and neither option is visually emphasised over the other.
The first-party identity cookies described in clause 3.4 may be set before you make a choice. Optional analytics and performance cookies described in clause 3.2 are not set until you accept them. No box is pre-ticked.
You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer of the Website.
4.2 Withdrawing consent
Withdrawing your consent to non-essential cookies is as easy as giving it. Use the cookie settings link, or contact us under Clause 7.
Withdrawal does not affect data already lawfully collected before you withdrew.
4.3 Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse all cookies, refuse third-party cookies only, or delete cookies already stored. Instructions are in your browser’s help documentation.
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and will stop parts of the Platform working.
4.4 Do Not Track
Browsers vary in how they implement Do Not Track signals and there is no common standard. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. You can control cookies through the mechanisms in this Clause 4 instead.
Cookies and Your Personal Data
Some cookies process information that is personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — for example, an identifier linked to your account.
Where that is the case:
- we process it for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy;
- we rely on your consent for analytics and performance cookies, and on the necessity of delivering the service you asked for in the case of strictly necessary cookies;
- your rights of access, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, nomination and grievance apply as described in the Privacy Policy;
- data collected through cookies is stored on servers in India and is not transferred outside India.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as our use of cookies changes. When we do, we will change the version number and the “Last Updated” date at the top and publish the updated Policy.
If we introduce a new category of cookie that requires consent, we will ask for your consent afresh rather than treating your earlier choice as covering it.
